“Latin America unified toward a sustainable chemistry”

Dear Colleagues:

Continuing its important and vital institutional mission, the Peruvian Chemical Society (Sociedad Química del Perú, SQP), sponsored by the Latin American Federation of Chemical Associations (Federación Latinoamericana de Asociaciones Químicas, FLAQ) organizes the 31^st Latin American Chemistry Congress and the XXVII Peruvian Chemistry Congress, to be held from  October 14 to October 17, 2014 at the Sheraton Lima Hotel & Convention Center in Lima, Peru .

Both events will take place through:

Plenaries and Conferences, which will be handled by specialists mainly from Latin America and will focus on issues of great importance to our region.

Roundtables, which will discuss topics of interest, such as: university educations in chemistry, green chemistry, food security, the future of the research in Latin America, the Latin American collaborative research between institutions, the relationship  between chemistry and society, among others.

Research papers to be submitted in the form of posters, where specialists have a means to expose their research, make suggestions and academic contacts.

Courses, conducted  by specialists in order to update the knowledge of chemists.

            The FLAQ and the SQP, as always, through this CLAQ -2014, will serve as a meeting point where Latin American chemists will expose their research and will establish collaborations between academics, professionals and students.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

The submitted abstracts of research must be original and would cover issues related to the different sections of the Congress. The authors of the abstracts should   paid for their registration, depending on the date of the submission to the Scientific Director. It has been enabled the electronic mail claq2014@gmail.com  for the exclusive use of researches to guide them in more detail.

The registration fee entitles you to submit up to two research papers.

    **  As for relatives of foreigners registered as professionals.

The above values ​​include: participation in academic and cultural activities, congress material, certificate of attendance and coffee breaks. 
The accompanist is a relative of those enrolled only as professionals and will participate in cultural activities, closing and opening.
Those who submit research abstracts must understand that they will pay the registration according to the date of shipment. If you send your abstract up to April, you will pay as shown in the pay rate, if you sent between May and August, will pay more. Those who sent after August, will pay according to the rate, but is not guaranteed that your abstract will be published in the abstract book. The registration fee entitles you to submit up to two abstracts of research.

The CLAQ-2014 will be held in the city of Lima, capital of Peru and historic center. To enjoy, Lima has an amazing colonial architecture surrounded by beautiful plazas, a variety of parks, museums and churches.

Its amazing nightlife, to enjoy the joy in their clubs, or taste of the most varied and exquisite food.  Lima is connected by air through the Jorge Chavez International Airport, voted the best airport in South America, where arrive flights from all over the world and where depart flights to all the tourist places located in the coast, highlands and jungle, with a flight time close to an hour.
